Most of us today are familiar with the sharing of video content by uploading to sites like YouTube. But there is another option for business in the assortment of online video platforms (OVP), one of the largest being Brightcove, founded by a pioneer in the development of the Flash application. OVPs host video files on their servers, and offer a suite of options including conversion from one format to others to accommodate different viewing devices, tracking of viewership and search optimization to name a few.
